I'm Riley Ahlstedt, an artist from Lindsborg, Kansas, also known as "Little Sweden USA." Growing up in a community known for its rich artistic and folk-art traditions deeply influenced my creative practice and connection to my Swedish heritage. I earned my BFA in Art Education from Bethany College and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Painting through Savannah College of Art and Design.
My work explores human connection, nature, and the beauty of everyday life. Through portraits, landscapes, and still lifes, I use vibrant color and expressive imagery to capture moments of joy, peace, and wonder. Working in oils, acrylics, watercolor, and other mediums, I draw from both fine art and folk-art traditions to create paintings that celebrate meaningful experiences and invite viewers to find beauty in the world around them.
